Energy audits are applied every five years, on a periodic basis, for such institutions by the state as subject. The interval between two successive audits may not exceed five years.
Auditing is mandatory and regular for:

Incentives and procedures
There are two types of incentives:
* Financial incentives:
These bonuses awarded under the National Fund for Control of Energy (Act No. 2005-106 of 19 December 2005, the Finance Law for 2006):
A premium of 50% of the cost of the energy audit with a ceiling of 20 000 DT;
A premium of 50% of the total project cost based on the introduction of new technologies that have not been previously adopted and approved by a program contract with a ceiling of 100,000 TD;
A premium of 20% of the cost of investment projects in energy control under program contracts with a ceiling of:
* 100 000 DT for establishments with average total annual energy consumption does not exceed 4000 TOE;
* 200 000 DT for establishments with average total annual consumption of energy varies between 4000 and 7000 TOE;
* 250 000 DT for establishments with average total annual consumption of energy exceeds 7000 TOE.
* Tax incentives :
The reduction of tariffs at the minimum rate of 10% for the importation of any equipment or material within the scope program contract.
The VAT exemption for the purchase of equipment and materials within the scope of the program contract.
Procedures for granting such aid
* Audit support :
This premium is paid to the beneficiary in a single payment after signing the contract program and presentation of copies of invoices and proof of payment issued by our research department.
* Investment aid:
The investment aid is granted for each project within the scope of a program contract. This assistance shall be released upon presentation by the establishment of supporting documents.
