The equipment required for a photovoltaic installation differs from an installation connected to the grid to that in an isolated site.
For a site connected to the electrical network, the installation essentially requires:
- Photovoltaic modules
- An inverter (DC / AC converter).
For a site off-grid, the installation needs also to include:
- Battery (s)
- Regulator.
